Deal and Walmer Big Bike Ride

The Deal and Walmer BIG BIKE RIDE follows a beautiful scenic route along the seafront and then travels on the Ancient Highway to Mary Bax's stone.
There is a pit stop at the Chequers for refreshments before returning to the Walmer beach for a well deserved barbecue.
It is a flat 10-mile ride and many families take part. Registration starts at Walmer Castle beach car park at 10.45am and the bike ride starts at 11.00am.
Volunteers over 18 are needed to -
- marshal at regular points along the route - from 10.30 to 12.30
- register riders
- serve food at the barbecue - from 12.30 to 2.30.
