Dippers and Dunkers Festival
Roll-up, Roll-up, come and join in the fun at Dippers and Dunkers
on the 21-23 August for a packed weekend of art focused activities,
as Margate launches its first festival of New Variety & Burlesque.
We are currently looking for volunteers who would like to work as Stewards on
Saturday 22 August and/or Sunday 23 August,
You will be marshalling at the 1950s Sideshow Illusions, that appeared in Dreamland and forms part of Margate’s first ever festival of new variety and burlesque, ‘Dippers and Dunkers’.
You will be part of a team, helping to deliver this brand new, fun festival for Margate.
Duties include handing out leaflets, maintaining the flow of visitors through the sideshows, chatting to attenders and capturing their feedback on a simple questionnaire.
All volunteers will receive training and briefing prior to the festival and will receive a complimentary ticket to both 'The Sassy Seaside Show' and the 'Balkan-Bar- Burlesque'.
SKILLS NEEDED: Volunteers need to be aged 18+.
We are looking for bright, helpful people with plenty of common sense, happy to listen and note down the views of visitors attending the exhibition. Identification as volunteer-staff will be provided.
HOURS: the exhibition will run from 10.30am – 7.30pm each day: and volunteers will need to do a minimum of 3 hours.
