Spend a day by the river and support Maidstone’s River Festival

The Maidstone River Festival is one of the town’s biggest entertainment events.

It celebrates Kent’s county town and its greatest natural asset – the River Medway.

You can be part of a team of River Marshalls and steward

To marshal activities along the banks of the River Medway,

help keep access points clear and help provide a safe and

enjoyable day for everyone.

Volunteers aged 18 and over are needed throughout the day on

Saturday 25 July

from 11.00am to 10.45pm working in shifts (to be discussed)

Previous ‘crowd’ or ‘venue’ experience would be preferred, good communication skills and a friendly manner.

At least two or three to act as ‘team’ leaders or group supervisors

Volunteers will need to attend a local briefing 24hours ahead of the Festival.

Some volunteers will be matched up with professional SIA stewards throughout the day.
