Would you like to learn about the amazing Youth Theatre work happening in Kent?

 

If that excites you, then please help us inspire tomorrow's talent and come and joins us at the Kent County Youth Theatre Festival.

 

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable volunteers with good social skills to provide practical support and work alongside project staff in organising the event.

As a volunteer and team member, you will get free meals, an induction, be supervised and will be reimbursed reasonable travelling expenses.  Some volunteers would be asked to come the day to familiarise with the venue.

 

We are looking for volunteers to fill the following roles –

 

 

Car Park Attendant x 6
To control the 5mph speed limit inside the car park with signs and direct drivers to free spaces. There will be a small element of patrolling the car park.

As a car park attendant you should be reliable and trustworthy. You should have a responsible attitude towards security and safety. You should be self-reliant and able to work on your own. You also need to be polite and friendly when dealing with the public.

3 shifts (2 people required per shift): 09:30-12:30, 12:30-16:00, 16:00-22:00

 
Cloakroom Attendant x 7
To be responsible for taking care of personal possessions, such as coats and bags belonging to youth groups, VIPs, audience members. Their duties involve ticketing items, storing them safely and returning possessions to owners on collection.

 

 

2 Cloakrooms: Young People and VIP

3 Shifts for Young People’s cloakroom:
09:30-12:30 (2 required), 12:30 – 16:30 (1 required), 16:30 – 21:30 (1 required)

1 Shift for VIP cloakroom: 16:00 – 21:30 (2 required)

 


First Aid Officer x 3

Must have an up to date First Aid Certificate and have skills in basic first aid as well as more complex life saving techniques such as expired air resuscitation (EAR) and cardio-pulmonary (CPR). First Aid Officers are required to be familiar with the specific hazards and conditions of a workplace.

3 shifts (1 person required per shift): 09:30-12:30, 12:30-16:30, 16:30-21:30

 
General Assistance Officer x 5
To assist the event manger with: decorations, cloakroom duties, car park assistance, ensuring all youth groups are attending workshops, patrolling the venue and ushering VIPs from the car park to the venue.

3 shifts: 09:30-12:30 (2 required), 12:30-16:30 (1 required), 16:30-21:30 (2 required)

 

 

This event is being organized and managed by Kent Arts Development Unit.
