How to find volunteers for events

If you are an event organizer and work in the voluntary, community or statutory sector in Kent why not register today and find out how our volunteers can support you.
We manage a database of volunteers who can be contacted by us via promotions on this website, the events calendar and by regular bulletins.
It's quick and easy to get volunteers:
- First register your organisation with us which you can do online.
- Then for each event complete an online event registration form.
Alternatively if you would like to register by post or e-mail then simply fill in an organization registration form (pdf download) to register your group and then for each event simply return an event registration form (pdf download).

Good Practice Principles
The Kent Event Team expects your organisation to do the following?
- Contact prospective volunteers promptly
- Have clearly defined volunteer roles
- Have time set aside for response and recruitment of new volunteers
- Ensure volunteer selection procedures are effective, open and inclusive, running criminal records checks when appropriate
- Have an equal opportunities policy, or ensure there is an unwritten commitment to equal opportunities is within the organisation.
- Have a volunteer induction in place which includes Health and Safety procedures
- Provide support and training appropriate to the role
- Ensure that volunteers have a named contact
- Have adequate insurance, including employers liability, public liability and personal accident insurance to include volunteers
- Reimbursement of out of pocket expenses in a simple way which is free of embarrassment will be a priority
